Although Nothing Phone 1’s release About a month later, the company has already started showing off what the device will look like to help create hype. From afar, the device appears to be a combination of the back of the iPhone X (with a pill-shaped dual-camera island) and the flat edges of the iPhone 12. However, the back cover here is transparent, revealing a large wireless charging coil, and several Screws (something you don’t really see on phones these days) and a mysterious pattern aroused Earlier by founder Carl Bay.

Nothing has provided more details in these teaser posts, but we imagine the company still has a few tricks up its sleeve — in particular, how it’ll make Pei an “open and diverse product ecosystem” with this device. So far, we know Phone 1 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset – Engadget knows it’ll be a mid-tier processor – and the Android-like Nothing OS with some design flair. None leads the design team at Dyson, Adam Bates, who joined the company in early 2022.

Nothing Phone 1 will launch in London at 4PM GMT / 11AM EST on July 12. There will be a live stream available, but you’ll have to RSVP advance.
