Kate’s portrait slammed by art critic making her look like ‘oddly boring doll’ | Royal | News

The new photo of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge produced very mixed reactions. Some critics praised the painting, claiming that it captures the essence of the couple.

Others have been more critical, arguing that it is not an accurate representation of Cambridges.

Writing in the Daily Mail, art critic A.N. Wilson tore the painting to shreds, calling it “dirty” and “dead like a dodo.”

He said, “Kate looks like a ‘weirdly boring doll’ because the photo doesn’t show her ‘inner charm’.”

The true Duchess of Cambridge cheers everyone up with her radiant smile.

“However, the figure in this painting is sad, somewhat pure and is not actually recognizable by the name of Ketina.”

Writing in The Times Rachel Campbell-Johnston criticized the photo for making the couple look like “models.”

She said, “Here’s a great picture of the modern monarchy.

“They can’t look so glamorous. They shouldn’t wear flamboyant clothes.

With this enchanting device, British artist Jamie Correth delivers a lively note of casual character in a portrait that would have otherwise been too harsh.

“Prince William glistens sweetly; Catherine looks almost eccentric.”
