Las Vegas bar brawl: Waitress charged in septuagenarian’s murder

A waitress at a stripper bar in Longueuil has been charged with manslaughter against a customer in her seventies after an argument broke out last June when the place was closed.

Ariane Desgroseillers-Lafrans was handcuffed by the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL) on Thursday.

The 32-year-old is not her first experience with justice. She has already found herself at the heart of a vast conspiracy to import 182 kg of coke (See other text) to which she pleaded guilty.

The fight took place on the night of June 3rd outside the Le Vegas strip club in Longueu at around 3am.

According to our information, the victim, 70-year-old Pierre Landry, was a customer of the establishment that evening.

In the parking lot

But for some unknown reason, an argument broke out between him and Descrocillers-Lafrance in the parking lot of the establishment, which had closed its doors.

After receiving a blow, the man would have collapsed, possibly hitting his head on the ground.

Emergency services were called and the victim reportedly died of his injuries three days later in hospital, SPAL notes.

Authorities conducted an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy and the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DBCP) finally approved a charge of manslaughter against the young woman.

Another story

He is the third person charged this week in connection with a fight in a bar parking lot.

Adam Jourdenais, 27, and Sébastien Junior Vallee, 34, were arrested Wednesday by the Sûreté du Québec for beating to death a 65-year-old retiree.

The events took place on May 14 at B-Sports, a restaurant in Richelieu.

Both have been charged with murder.

Ariane Descrosillers-Lafrance appeared in Longueuil court on Friday and was released on conditions. He is due back in court in early September.

Ariane Descrocilers-Lafrance was sentenced to four years in prison in 2017 For crossing the border with 182 kg of drugs in his car. As for her then-boyfriend Gregory Singh, he was sentenced to nine years in prison.

On December 2, 2014, Singh received $10,000 from the gang that hired him to smuggle the white powder through the toll booths in Lagol.

The import was arranged with customs officer Stephanie McClelland, who sent them in 36 seconds to a gate reserved for Nexus-authorized individuals, who were not.

Doubts

McClelland pleaded not guilty to being struck by a forced interior search warning of the vehicle’s license plate at the request of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). McClelland, for his part, was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
