“Langley RCMP, with the assistance of the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, have arrested a person we believe is responsible for the shooting,” officials said at the time, adding that the suspect was in custody.

Authorities sent out an emergency alert at 7:22 a.m. local time to let citizens know that a suspect had been neutralized.
