Foxboro, MA – New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones Expect to be available for the team’s “Monday Night Football” match against the visiting Chicago Bears, sources told ESPN.
Jones, who has been inactive for the past three games, told his teammates that his recovery from a left ankle sprain he suffered on September 25 has progressed, with one last hurdle that must be practically cleared. The first practice of the week for the Patriots is scheduled for Thursday.
Coach Bill Belichick has skewed questions about Jones’ status – and his overall midfield plans – when asked in recent weeks.
“Assumptions and all that, I’m going to stay away from those,” Belichick said Wednesday. “We’ll see what we’re really dealing with here as we go forward.”
