Several of his distant friends told TVA Nouvelles that in recent years he had withdrawn from many people.
“She was a close friend when I was young, but her consumption drove us apart,” said the friend, who spoke to TVA Novellas.
Another says he has lost touch with the young woman.
“We haven’t seen each other in four years. We used to hang out together. I think she fell for the wrong people,” says Rose Millet’s friend.
Reached by phone, Kelianne Rivard, a childhood friend, said she worries about her friend and has been asking herself a lot of questions since she disappeared on Oct. 21.
She insisted on letting her friend know that she was there to help her.
“She has a family that really wants to help, friends too. It’s non-judgmental. We’re here, we’re waiting for her to give us a sign. The door’s always open, the phone, so no matter what situation she puts herself in, there’s really no judgment, I’m going to get her. Like,” Kelian explained.
Rose Millet has been missing for two weeks. He was last seen in Saint-Boniface, Maurice.
A 23-year-old young woman may be in the company of Jérémy Mongrain, a 24-year-old man wanted for several crimes.
The man has previously been charged with assault, menacing, theft, possession and use of a weapon.
He is also suspected of shooting at a house in Cap-de-la-Madeleine on October 20.
According to TVA Nouvelles, he may have been involved in the murder of Jason Bolduc Leboeuf in Trois-Rivières last August.
“Some information indicates that Mr. Mongrain was in transit between the greater Montreal area and Trois-Rivières,” said Trois-Rivières police spokesman Luc Mongrain.
Obli Martin-Cyr, who was murdered in October 2018, tried to defend against her killer, René Kegle.
Jeremy Mongrain is also wanted in Laval.
“On October 24th, he wanted to buy catalyst and he fired at the victim to retrieve his personal effects,” Laval Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Peshara said.
On social networks, messages of support have flooded in. Her family and relatives hope to find her soon.
Officers recalled the importance of contacting the young woman or Jeremy Mongrain if a person sees them, but does not approach him thinking he may still be armed and dangerous.
