Breakdowns, accidents and road closures in southern Quebec

Almost 10 cm in the Montreal area, a little more in the Laurentian area and snowfall in the Quebec City area complicated travel this morning.

Snow began falling in the Quebec area around 8 a.m., and Transports Quebec announced some road travel. The Leo-Major route (371) is closed in both directions between 573 and Boulevard Valcartier due to the accident. Montreal, Monterrey and Estrie require caution and patience throughout the morning.

More than 5,000 homes in Montérégie are without electricity.
