AMC Networks Looking for a new CEO.
The cable network announced Tuesday, after less than three months in the business, that Christina Speed has resigned from her position.
AMC said its board is “currently finalizing who it will nominate as a replacement, and an announcement will follow.”
“We thank Christina for her contribution to the company through her CEO role and previous CFO role, and wish her well in her future endeavours,” James Dolan, AMC Networks.
(AMCX) the president said in a statement.
AMC hasn’t given a reason for Spade’s sudden departure, but the network has dealt with multiple changes in its CEO position over the past two years.
Speed, who was named CEO on Sept. 9, previously served as the company’s chief executive officer and chief financial officer. She took over for Matt Blank, who has been the interim CEO since September 2021.
“I am honored to take on the CEO role. I admire this company in every way, its content, its brands, and most importantly, its people and its dynamic and inclusive culture,” Speed said upon taking over in September.
Blanc was succeeded by Josh Saban, who served as CEO More than two decades.
Saban led the network as it created some of the most critically acclaimed and award-winning series in television history, including “mad men“,”the walking Dead” And the “Too bad. ”
