A plane crash of two fighter jets in India left one pilot dead and the other seriously injured.

“Two fighter jets of the Indian Air Force had an accident near Gwalior this morning. The aircraft was on a routine operational flight training mission,” said the Indian Air Force. wrote in a statement on Twitter. “One of the three pilots was fatally wounded,” he added.

While local outlets initially did not report any known fatalities, the Indian Air Force reported that Wing Commander Hanumanth Rao Sarathi was mortally wounded, adding, “All air warriors and brothers stand strong with the bereaved family.”
