The Sûreté du Québec has revealed the identity of the thirty-year-old woman who lost her life following a road trip that plunged her vehicle into the South River near Montmagny.

Jossanne Tanguay-Pelletier, 36, of Rimouski. Also, the SQ confirmed that there was no one else in the car at the time of the accident.
A spokeswoman for the Sûreté du Québec, Béatrice d’Orsainville, says the investigation is still ongoing to shed light on the events.
“It is too early to say whether it was a matter of sleep, discomfort or a voluntary gesture. We are continuing our work to understand what happened.
Reminder of events
At 12:30 a.m. Friday, 911 was called after a submerged car in the Riviere du Sud area of Chemin des Cascades in Montmagny. SQ and firemen reached the spot and towed the vehicle to the shore. They found Ms. Tanguay-Pelletier’s body there.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital. His death was finally confirmed just before 5pm.
