A British Columbia woman is currently wanted after walking around a car dealership’s yard to scratch all the vehicles one by one at least three times since the beginning of winter.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) released a video Wednesday showing the woman, wearing a patterned sweater and medical mask, in the middle of the crime in the yard of the Journey Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Ram dealership in Coquitlam. A suburb of Vancouver.
RCMP said they received three complaints about scratch vehicles between January and April.
“Preliminary estimates indicate that nearly 400 vehicles were damaged, as well as the exterior of one business, resulting in more than $500,000 in damage,” police said.
The video leaves no doubt about the malicious intent of the suspect, who can be seen methodically marking vehicles one after the other in the parking lot.
The mystery hovers over the woman’s motive and the police are careful not to advance the slightest hypothesis about her motives.
After completing his misdeeds, the suspect left behind the wheel of a white Ford Escape, model year 2008-2013, it was noted.
