K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM surprised fans with an English version of their hit song “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife”.
The new version of the track replaces the original Korean verses with all-new English lyrics. “Tell me what you’re waiting for / Because I know what you want to do / Picture a perfect criminal,” They sing over the new first verse.
The new version of “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebear’s Wife” was hinted at by LE SSERAFIM member Huh Yunjin on Instagram yesterday (July 6). The singer posted an image of the song’s lyrics in all English on her personal account, along with a number of selfies and other photos.
Last month, LE SSERAFIM dropped a remix of “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebear’s Wife” which featured new verses by South Korean rappers BIBI, Mirani, and CAMO.
The song is a cut from LE SSERAFIM’s debut studio album “Unforgiven”, which was helmed by the lead single of the same name that featured legendary record producer Neil Rodgers of the disco band Chic.
NME “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife” also recently appeared on our list of the 15 Best K-pop Songs of 2023 So Far, describing the song as a “sleek Jersey club number that gets more addictive with every listen.”
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM’s Unforgiven was also listed as one of the NMEThe best albums of 2023 so far. It was one of two K-pop records featured on the list, along with IVE’s “I’ve Been”.
