The ACC announces 2023-24 men’s basketball conference schedule

Charlotte, North Carolina (TheACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference today announced its 2023-24 men’s basketball conference schedule, including most game times and television assignments. The season concludes on Monday, November 6, with 14 ACC teams taking the field.

The ACC’s regular season conference slate begins December 2 and ends March 9. For the fifth straight season, ACC play consists of a 20-game conference schedule for each program. Teams will play their primary rivals home and away (four matches) and four recurring opponents home and away (eight matches). The remaining eight competitors will be in single matches, four of them at home and four away from home.


The 2024 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 12-16 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.


All 150 regular-season conference games will be available on ESPN networks, including ACC Network (ACCN) or The CW. The ACCN will feature more than 100 games, including more than 60 conference games. Additionally, ACCNX, the ACCN’s digital platform available on the ESPN app, will broadcast several games throughout the season.


Twenty-eight games, including 23 league games, are scheduled to be broadcast nationally on The CW, which is televising ACC games for the first time this season. The CW will feature 14 Saturday doubleheaders in December, January, February and March.


Broadcast networks for the inaugural 2023 ACC/SEC Challenge, scheduled for Nov. 28-29, was announced Monday by ESPN. All 14 games will be broadcast on ESPN networks and will be available to stream via the ESPN app for authorized subscribers.


Three ACC programs are ranked in ESPN’s Way Too Early Top 25 poll: No. 2 Duke, No. 15 North Carolina and No. 18 Miami.


The ACC’s current 15 member schools have captured three of the last eight NCAA Tournaments, with 99 NCAA Tournament wins in those eight years. Current ACC schools have won eight NCAA titles in the last 22 years and own 17 national championships overall. ACC member schools have combined for 67 men’s Final Four appearances and a national-best 664 NCAA Tournament wins. Miami made its first Final Four appearance last season.


All 15 league members have 1,000 or more all-time wins, including eight schools with 1,500 or more wins. Four of the top eight and six of the top 30 winningest programs in NCAA Division I basketball history are currently in the ACC.
