Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trainers are reportedly experiencing a new game crash in version 2.0.1

Following the release of the DLC update for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in September, a new bug has been discovered in version 2.0.1 of the base game and should lead to some crashes at one of the most crucial moments.

As highlighted nintendo wireIn the final battle against…Spoilers…Heaven Protection Protocol, you must summon the legendary Koraidon or Miraidon during combat. If a Pokémon is registered in the Pokédex and you mark the fourth, fifth, or sixth slot in the group, the game will crash.

Again, what’s weird about this is that it apparently just came out in version 2.0.1. You can see it below, courtesy of ‘Metyokhana_On social media:

The same source goes on to thank all players who reported the incident and helped figure out the requirements needed to replicate the issue. Game Freak can fix this bug sooner rather than later.

Fortunately, there are a few solutions. One is to have “three or fewer” Pocket Monsters in your deck, and the other is to avoid checking boxes numbered four, five, and six. If we hear of any updates for Scarlet and Violet that address this issue, we’ll let you know.
