Lance Bass says fans should forgive Justin Timberlake: ‘Britney did’

Lance Bass believes fans should forgive Justin Timberlake amid the backlash his former NSYNC bandmate received following the release of Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman in Me.”

Spears and Timberlake began dating in 1999, when Spears was 17 and Timberlake was 18, and they separated in 2002. In her memoir, Spears details the early days of her relationship with Timberlake, as well as some of the setbacks she endured while they were together. Together: “There were many times in our relationship when I learned that Justin had cheated on me.”

on saturday, The video was shared by TMZ Bass at Los Angeles International Airport, where Bass reveals his thoughts on the backlash against Timberlake.

“Look, I mean everyone has their own opinion,” Bass said. “I feel like the world is so full of hate right now that we need to practice a little tolerance. Britney did that, so let’s take a note from her.”

The former NSYNC singer shared that he actually bought Spears’ memoir and was planning to “read it on the plane.”

“Everyone deserves to tell their story,” Bass added. “I did, and you know, I hope the fans find some tolerance again.”

In addition to the cheating allegations against Timberlake, Spears revealed her relationship with the “Cry Me a River” singer, including an abortion she had after she became pregnant with his child.

Justin certainly wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. “He said we weren’t ready to have a child in our lives, that we were too young,” Spears wrote in her book.
