During the night from Sunday to Monday, in the courtyard of a residence in Grande-Rivière, Caspé, two motorists who had been drinking had a serious accident.

At 12:30 a.m. the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) was called to Grande Allée Est (R-132) for a collision between a car and a house.

“After losing control, the vehicle collided with the wall of the residence and a vehicle at the private entrance before ending its journey on its hood in a neighboring yard,” explains Frédéric Deshaies, spokesman for the SQ.

According to provincial police, speed and impaired driving were factors in the case. A collision scene reconstructionist is due to visit the scene on Monday to examine the scene.
