Beeper Mini stops working days after launch

iMessage apps for Android have become more popular lately, but usually with vague security settings. However, the Beeper Mini took a wild and completely new approach in completely reverse-engineering iMessage to allow users to log into their Apple ID directly as well as link their Android phone number. But the big question was how long the app would actually work.

Well, we are may be Get our answer: This afternoon the Beeper Mini suddenly stopped working for seemingly all users.

Many reports via Reddit Other platforms confirm that Beeper Mini is currently unable to send or receive messages for many users. As some have reported Apple ID sign in is currently not working if the app is reinstalled or activated on a new device.

The reason here is unclear at this time, but in our own testing, the app returned an error message saying “Search on server failed; The search request timed out.”

We reached out to Beeper for comment, and although a reason was not provided, CEO Eric Migicovsky confirmed that the company is looking into the matter.
