The Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched two separate attacks against Israeli targets in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights and northern Iraq.

The movement announced in a statement issued early Thursday morning that it had carried out an operation against a “vital and main” target south of the “Elad” settlement of the Israeli regime in the occupied Golan.

Some reports said that an Israeli drone base was targeted in the attack.

The Resistance, an umbrella group of counter-terrorism fighters, said it carried out the attack using “appropriate weapons” to support the Gaza Strip, which has witnessed 82 days of relentless Israeli genocidal war.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that a “suicide drone” hit a building located in the southern Golan.

Israeli Channel 12 claimed that if it is confirmed that the drone operation was launched from Syria, this will be the first time since the beginning of the Gaza war that such an attack has occurred.

The Iraqi group also said that it targeted a “technical and espionage center” belonging to the Israeli regime northeast of the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region in northern Iraq.

The Iraqi counter-terrorism group has been attacking targets belonging to the Israeli regime and the United States since October 7, when Tel Aviv began the war on Gaza with unwavering military and political support from Washington.

The Israeli targets included the port of Eilat, located in the far south of the occupied Palestinian territories, and the Karish gas field in the Mediterranean Sea.

Since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza, the Iraqi resistance has carried out more than 100 operations against the American occupation forces in the region.
