Samsung makes some of the best smartphone camera sensors, and many brands use their camera sensor in their phones, from entry-level to advanced. The South Korean company's 200-megapixel cameras are unique, and newer flagship phones from smartphone brands have started using them as telephoto cameras, including those coming from Honor.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro, the company's next flagship smartphone, uses a 200-megapixel camera sensor from Samsung for its telephoto camera. According to @Rodent950The Porsche Design Edition of the Magic 6 Pro is said to feature Samsung's 200MP ISOCELL HP3 camera sensor, behind a periscope-style telephoto lens. It could be a 3.5x or 5x optical zoom lens, but nothing has been officially announced yet. The images reveal a 100x zoom printed on the phone's camera housing. As for the primary camera, the Magic 6 Pro Porsche Design is expected to use a 1-inch OV50K sensor from OmniVision. The ultra-wide camera on this smartphone uses a 1/2.88-inch OmniVision OV50M sensor.

Reports indicate that the Honor Magic 6 Pro phone uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is also said to have a 5,600 mAh battery, which is 12% larger than Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone. It will have 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage variants, and we expect the phone to have at least 12GB of RAM. It has a quad curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a dynamic island, like the latest iPhones, which feature a dual selfie camera setup.

Honor, which was previously a sub-brand of Huawei, is now an independent company. The company plans to unveil the Honor Magic 6 Pro series and MagicOS 8.0 at a two-day event next week (January 10-11) in China. We expect this smartphone to be launched outside China within the next few months to compete with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
