Niantic has officially announced that Porygon will headline Pokemon Go's Community Day Classic in January 2024. Here's everything you need to know.

On January 20, 2024, Pokemon Go will feature Porygon as the main title of the upcoming Community Day Classic event. During this time, Porygon will frequently appear in the wild to trainers.

In addition, players will receive Porygon-Z, which knows the Charged Attack: Tri Attack after the development of Porygon2. They'll also get access to several event rewards, like triple XP for evolving Pokemon.

According to Pokemon Go Blogthe Porygon Community Day Classic will be held at Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.

During the event or up to two hours after, those who evolve Porygon2 will receive Porygon-Z with Charged Attack: Triple Attack.

Players can take advantage of the following rewards during the Porygon Community Day Classic:

  • Triple XP for catching Pokemon
  • Incense (except Daily Adventure Incense) and Temptation Units will last for three hours
  • A surprise after taking some snapshots during the event

For $1.00 USD or its equivalent in local currency, Trainers will be able to purchase a ticket for an exclusive special research mission. This special research does not need to be completed before a certain date.
