After last week's incident, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) wants to remind motorists that they still need to exercise caution during snow removal operations.

“Drive responsibly and be prepared for changing road and weather conditions,” police said on social media site X (formerly Twitter).

In a video shared by the OPP, the vehicle is seen swerving in the left lane of the highway to go between two snow drifts. After hitting the wall, the driver crashed into a heavy goods vehicle, bringing the operation involving six trucks to a standstill.

“This driver was unable to correct his driving and crashed into a wall, disrupting plowing operations,” the OPP said.

On social networks, many believe that the driver did not try to slow down.

“Bullshit!! This driver is typical GTA assassin. Always hurry, always be first, always be fast. Stop making excuses [ce genre de conducteur]», underlined @OTRPilotCar.

For his part, Peel Police Constable Tyler Bell-Morena called the situation “absolutely inexcusable” in a tweet.
