A 16-year-old boy in Quebec who was driving without a driver's license was involved in a fatal crash while trying to flee from police.
Just before 5 a.m. Monday, police officers from the City of Levis Police Service (SPVL) driving a patrol car approached a vehicle parked near the Quebec Bridge. The driver had his car's hazard lights on.

A few minutes later, the young driver suddenly swerved at the curve that gives access to the Avenue des Hôtels in Quebec. The car stopped on its side. The driver and his 18-year-old passenger were not injured.
The teenager faces charges of dangerous driving and obstructing police officers.
