Margaret Qualley will play Amanda Knox in the Hulu limited series

Margaret Qualley has been cast to play Amanda Knox in an untitled limited series ordered on Hulu, diverse to learn.

Hulu has ordered eight one-hour episodes. The official description states that the show is “based on the true story of how Knox was wrongly convicted of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher and her 16-year odyssey to free herself.”

KJ Steinberg (“This Is Us,” “Mistresses,” “Gossip Girl”) serves as writer and executive producer on the series. Qualley will executive produce as well as star. Littlefield's Warren Littlefield, Lisa Harrison, Anne Johnson and Graham Littlefield will also executive produce alongside Monica Lewinsky as well as Knox and Chris Robinson via Knox Robinson Productions. Knox's story has been the subject of several on-screen projects to date. In addition to several special news reports and documentaries, Lifetime aired the original film “Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy” in 2011. “Stillwater” stars Matt Damon, Abigail Breslin and Camille Cottin, and is believed to have been filmed inspired by Knox's Story, released in 2021.
