Duberger-Les Saules: 16-year-old arrested while impaired in stolen vehicle.

The Quebec City Police Department (SPVQ) arrested a 16-year-old boy Saturday morning after driving a stolen vehicle while intoxicated and causing an accident.

Just after 8am, emergency services were called to a vehicle that had hit a commercial and residential building at the corner of Pere-Lelievre boulevard and Masson boulevard in the Douberger-les-Sales sector.

SPVQ patrol officers rushed to the scene where they were able to locate the teenager.

The Quebec Fire Protection Service (SPCIQ) was also called to intervene in the sector. However, no injuries were reported in the incident.

Technicians from the Judicial Identification Unit (UIJ) also visited the spot to reconstruct the facts.

At the time of his arrest, the youth was found to be in possession of drugs and a prohibited weapon. The latter was released on an undertaking to appear.
