Quebec woman unknowingly drugged in Mexico decries lack of cooperation from local authorities

A Beauceron who believes she was unknowingly drugged, assaulted and sexually assaulted when she visited Mexico last December to celebrate her birthday says she is appalled by the lack of cooperation from her hotel and local authorities.

“It's very sad to see the hotel cover this up by destroying what was on the surveillance cameras,” complained Cynthia Forgues of Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce.

On the evening of December 8, his trip to the five-star Planet Hollywood Cancun resort turned into a nightmare.

“We went to the disco to celebrate my 45th birthday. At one point, I went to the bathroom, but I didn’t come back,” she whispers.

Noticing her absence, her three friends relentlessly searched for her.

Pain and bruising

Mme Forkus was found two hours later, confused and with a swollen face.

“I was lost. When I woke up, I realized it wasn't right,” said the pain-stricken woman, who fears she was sexually assaulted while he was unconscious.

“My underwear was dirty from the inside. I realized I was drugged, beaten and raped,” continues the mother of three boys.

“At 45 years old, 5 feet 8 inches and 200 pounds, I never expected to be a target for aggression. It can happen to anyone,” notes the all-encompassing regular.

The police are missing

Cynthia Forkus tried to alert the hotel to look at the surveillance cameras that would allow her to understand the course of events.

“I was shown a video of them staggering into a building. But when I asked when I was coming out, the employee looked at me with a big smile and told me a new request,” he laments.

“The videos have been deleted. This is the information the SQ got,” the alleged victim narrates.

On Sunwing's part, the airline says: Newspaper The events are “currently under investigation.”

However, she contacted Mme Forkas was “in a limited position” and could not do anything because of the hotel's “legal and confidential requirements”.

“I find it very average. I get no help from them, she laments. The aggressor is free to start again whenever he wants.

Beautiful everywhere

His story is reminiscent of that of Catino resident Daniel Mate, who was allegedly drugged without his knowledge at a Cancun hotel last January.

Also, dozens of other Quebecers have recently testified that they were poisoned in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in recent years.

“It's really sad. It happens almost everywhere, laments Mme Fakes. I want to condemn this so that this does not happen to others.”
