Washington welcomes Canadian police intervention to stop border axes

Washington has welcomed current Canadian police intervention to reopen several strategic border axes between the United States and Canada, which so far have been thwarted by protesters opposed to health measures, according to a White House statement.

Liz Sherwood-Randall, Joe Biden’s National Security Adviser, “praised the (Canadian) law enforcement efforts at the border to end the blockade altogether.”

Previously on Sunday, the police dispose of the last demonstrators established since Monday on the Ambassador bridge, which had an essential border access to two US neighboring countries and its closure of its closure.

On Sunday morning, US Secretary of Defense Alejandro Myorgas and Transport Minister Pete Boutique spoke with their Canadian counterparts.

“According to the information available to them, most of the protesters have been evacuated, obstacles have been removed and the route is being protected,” the statement said.

“After conducting the necessary security checks, Canadian authorities are set to reopen the Ambassador Bridge today,” said Liz Sherwood-Randall.

Beginning with truckers’ protest against the obligation to vaccinate across the border between Canada and the United States, Canada was rocked by a massive protest movement for several weeks, but it was extended until all health measures were rejected, and for some protesters, by Justin Trudeau’s government.
