The official cause of death for Richard Simmons is under investigation, Los Angeles Police said.
The legendary fitness trainer died on Saturday — just one day after his 76th birthday.
The case was postponed by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office, which called for additional investigation, the people Reports.

Police and fire officials were dispatched to the Los Angeles health expert’s home after receiving a call from Simmons’ housekeeper Saturday morning, TMZ’s first report.
