AT&T is having some issues right now that are causing customers to see “SOS” instead of the usual service bars.
“We are working to address a software issue that may be affecting a limited number of our customers’ ability to connect to our wireless network,” AT&T spokesman Jim Kimberly said in a statement sent to The Edge.
Kimberly also said that the interpretation he posted was Mobile Report It was inaccurate. The outlet said AT&T internally found that the switching center failure “led to a series of issues, including delayed service, inability to provision new SIM cards, and, for many, complete loss of network connectivity” that could primarily affect iPhones and other Apple devices.
On Tuesday afternoon, there was also a significant spike in user reports. On Down DetectorThere has been a decline in reports since the peak, but as I write this article, the Downdetector chart is starting to creep up again.
