Strategic mistakes of the Russian military

If the Russian invasion is stuck in Ukraine, it is partly because of the courage and perseverance of the Ukrainian opposition. But according to former lieutenant colonel Remy Laundry of the Canadian Armed Forces, several mistakes made by the Russian military explain the stalemate in the conflict.

The latter recalled that if the size of the forces was too unequal, the Ukrainians would use their knowledge of the terrain.

“They can deploy very quickly and easily into small groups and then ambush and attack these convoys already in Ukraine or very close to the border,” he said. Laundry explains.

The period of the retired soldier war indicates that the Russian army is now facing great difficulty in supplying food, fuel, troops and ammunition.

“This highlights the lack of readiness of Russian troops. Their analysis of the situation is completely irrelevant,” he said.

According to Remy Laundry, Russia made a big mistake by hitting five axes at the start of the invasion. This strategy divides Russian troops and makes distribution more difficult.

According to the retired Canadian Armed Forces, the situation has hampered Russia’s progress in Ukrainian territory, while increasing bombings.

Remy Laundry says strong Ukrainian opposition is heavily dependent on NATO countries to export anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons. This supply is made through communication lines passing through Poland.

“I do not understand why the Russians have not tried to cut those lines before. That’s what we’ll see soon,” Mr. Laundry said.
