More than 81,000 Hydro-Quebec customers were without electricity at 10pm on Friday night due to strong winds in one part of the province.
The Laurentides area particularly affected 20,381 customers.
In Montérégie, 18,730 customers were without electricity.
Montreal and Lanadier had 11,964 and 11,605 customers, respectively.
At the height of the crashes, early in the morning, up to 120,000 people were plunged into darkness.
Hydro-Québec says its teams have been mobilized on the ground to restore the situation.
The poles were damaged by strong winds. Recovery time may vary from region to region.
At 6:22 pm, winds of 93 km / hr were recorded at Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau Airport in Montreal.
