Three people, including one with serious injuries, were taken to hospital after a double collision on Friday afternoon in Saint-Alexis-de-Montcalm in Lanaudière.
Emergency services were called to Route 158 around 3 p.m. after a three-vehicle crash, Sûreté du Québec spokeswoman Camille Savoie said.
According to preliminary information, a vehicle traveling in the eastbound direction veered off its lane to collide with a second vehicle traveling in the opposite direction in the westbound direction.
A second collision occurred with a third vehicle traveling westbound.
A man in his 50s in the first vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The second vehicle contained a woman in her forties who was taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
In the third car, two people suffered minor injuries and only the driver, a man in his forties, was taken to hospital.
A reconstructionist and an investigator were dispatched to the scene to examine the scene and determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
The road was reopened around 7 p.m.
