It is reported that one person was injured during an armed attack between Friday and Saturday night in Mothiyal East.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, a case of armed assault was requested of officers of the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM). When police arrived at the scene, they found a 17-year-old boy who had been stabbed multiple times in the upper and lower body. He was found on Georges-V Avenue near Rue Hochelaga in Montreal-East.
At the time of writing these lines, the victim was taken to hospital where he was still conscious, SPVM spokesman Jean-Pierre Braband said. His life is not in danger now.
According to preliminary information from the police, the reason for the attack was a clash between several people. The suspects reportedly drove away by the time police arrived in a car.
A perimeter on Avenue Georges-V between avenue Soligny and rue Hochelaga has now been raised.
According to the SPVM, the 17-year-old victim also has a criminal record. He will be met by investigators during the day to better understand the circumstances of the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
