The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) arrested a 57-year-old man on Monday morning in Château-Richer, in connection with a case that kept its teams in suspense all night.
SQ were called to Camping Durmel at around 12:30pm Sunday to Monday in relation to an armed man who was allegedly assaulting another man.

At the site, police set up a large perimeter to ensure the safety of seasonal residents and asked people to avoid the Saint-Anne Boulevard area.
After hours of negotiations and negotiations, the peace officers were finally able to get their hands on Quebec’s fiftieth anniversary around 10:30 a.m.
The police know
Sûreté du Québec spokesman Frédéric Deshaies says the suspect is known to police. However, he did not want to confirm whether the incident was related to organized crime. “The investigation continues to shed light on the situation,” explains Sgt Desais.

The 57-year-old man’s weapon was confiscated when he was handcuffed. He faces charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and negligent use of a firearm.
He remains in custody following his arrest and is expected to appear in a Quebec court in the coming days.
