A motorcyclist lost his life on Wednesday in Saint-Benjamin, Beauce.
The accident happened on Route 275 near Junction 13e ranking.
A motorcyclist riding a motocross type machine was hit hard by a car.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was descending a gravel road that intersects with Route 275 at a slight curve. On his part, the motorist was traveling in a northerly direction on an uphill slope. The exact cause of the damage is unknown. A stop sign is visible below the unpaved line. The speed limit on 275 is 90 kmph. According to clues found along the way, the motorcyclist may not have stopped.
The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene due to an apparent death. The driver of the car was not injured.
Hours after the tragedy, the body was still on display as the special investigator carried out his work.
Shortly before 8 p.m., relatives burst into tears. Most of the inhabitants of this sector know each other, which makes for some heartwarming scenes. “How could this have happened?” An ambulance could be heard in the background. A bicycle boy, everyone thought I was,” said one of them, very shocked.
The victim’s body was finally taken away at around 8:25 pm.
