In an interview with LCN, Canadian Covid Society physicist Nancy Delagrave wanted to set the record straight: the coronavirus is not a thing of the past.
“It was funny for us to say that COVID is over, because since we started on Wednesday, we've been getting an email every three minutes from people in tears, saying how much it's changed their lives. These are the people who are most affected by Covid,” he says.
The NPO wants to inform people about the effects of Covid, but also to ensure that measures are put in place to reduce the number of people who contract the disease.
“When we have good ventilation, we prevent 82% of infections,” says Nancy Delagrave.
“We think we need a revolution in indoor air in closed spaces right now,” he adds.
The latter also calls for more public health calls to be made to sensitize the public on the ever-present issues associated with Covid-19.
