A plane taxi collided with a shuttle bus at Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Friday evening, injuring at least two people, the city Fire Department said.
The Federal Aviation Administration said Wisconsin Airlines Flight 6209 was on its way to depart when the collision occurred.
American Airlines said in an email that six American Airlines employees who were on the bus were taken to the hospital for evaluation, and no injuries were reported on board.
Details about the two injuries reported by the Chicago Fire Department were not immediately available.
Air Wisconsin is a regional airline that serves American Airlines operating under the American Eagle name, according to the airline’s website.
American Airlines said that the plane, which was supposed to fly to Dayton, Ohio, was taken out of service and passengers boarded another plane to continue the flight to Dayton.
Kevis Mitchell, a passenger on the plane, told CNN that the collision occurred “as we were moving forward.”
“The next thing I knew, we had a paradoxical impact on the plane,” Mitchell said.

Looking out the window of his seat on the plane, passenger Kevis Mitchell snapped his photo of emergency responders who arrived after the collision.
Mitchell said the plane moved from left to right and the passengers and crew were confused. Looking out his window, Mitchell saw several emergency vehicles responding to the plane, he said.
“I saw a public transport bus completely disabled. There was severe damage to the back section,” he said.
Gianni Carolla (23 years old), who was sitting in the back of the plane, said that the collision caused the plane to slide.
Both Carolla and Mitchell shared photos with CNN that showed damage to the front of the plane.
