A video shows the CEO of Tech Vistex drowning to death at an Indian company party

The day of celebration quickly turned into a horror show when a tech CEO fell 15 feet to his death in an onstage mishap in front of terrified employees in India.

Vistex CEO Sanjay Shah and Vistex President Vishwanath Raju Datla were inside an iron cage that had been lowered onto the stage as part of their grand entrance to the company's party when the wire snapped, causing a power outage. The Times of India reported.

Shocking video showed the moment the yellow cage hovering near the rafters began to sway as fireworks exploded and a voice implored the audience to “put their hands together” for the couple.

The cage quickly fell to one side, sending the Illinois-based company's heads tumbling 15 feet to the ground, roughly the equivalent of a one-story drop.

The video shows that one of the men flipped over completely, landing head first on the ground.

Shah was killed in the accident. Datla was left in a critical condition.

Although the cause was attributed to a broken wire, officials are investigating the incident and the faulty cage that was pulled out by a winding machine and had wires and iron grilles in it.

Shah and Datla were in India to celebrate the silver jubilee of Vistex Asia, which was celebrated over two days at the iconic Ramoji Film City.

“Shah and Raju being lowered from the cage to the stage was a planned event to kick off the celebrations,” a company official told the outlet.

Vistex, founded by Shah in 1999, is a consulting services firm with more than 20 global offices and a massive client list that includes GM, Yamaha, Coca-Cola and more.

The native of Mumbai, India, immigrated to America more than a decade ago to attend Lehigh University School of Business, where he earned his MBA in 1989 at the age of 21. According to the institution.

He went on to donate $5 million to establish the Vestex Institute for Executive Education at the school in 2017.

Shah was a philanthropist and also founded the Vestex Foundation, which provides grants to nonprofit organizations focused on health, education and basic needs programs.

In 2020, he opened Vestex Hospital in Bihar, India, which has become recognized as a national model COVID-19 facility.
