The cute interaction ended in shadows and left a woman very distraught.
So I took it on Tik Tok He vented in a viral video that garnered more than 795,700 views and more than 100,000 likes.
In the clip, user Caitlyn Rae (@Caitlynrae) told the story of how she started flirting with someone NFL A social media player, but left her hanging out of nowhere.
“I followed this evil NFL player on Instagram, without really thinking anything of it, and then he just randomly ended up following me,” the story in the video began.
Caitlyn went on to explain that the man noticed her ridiculous social media posts and started interacting with her. Especially her posts about Michael Jackson And the Nintendo Wee.
“I had no idea this guy had a personality until he started entertaining my Instagram stories, attacking me all the time,” she continued.
Apparently, the TikToker’s social media posts sparked illicit interest from the footballer, prompting him to reach out to her.
“We ended up talking about the Michael Jackson Wii game,” she said. “He was too preoccupied with how bad he wanted to play this game.”
The guy even invited her to his city to play IRL.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this really hot player invited me to the NFL,'” she explained.
So when the NFL star posted photos and videos of himself buying the game and console and then playing it, Kaitlyn thought he was definitely flirting with her. Especially since the posts, according to Caitlin, weren’t like the “serious” stories he typically shared on social media in the past.
“I think he is cheating on me and flirting with me while I eat him,” the woman said.
So I decided to respond to one of his posts on social media. That’s when she discovered she had been ghosted.
“I respond to his stories when he starts posting and he’s doing a moonwalk in his living room thinking it’s for me,” she continued.
That must not have been the case because the football stars left her letters read and never returned. Months later, she also found out that he had unfollowed her.
“What’s the point of that?” The woman finally asked. “Men are so weird.”
In the comments section, some accused the man of stealing the style of publishing it on social media.
“No, that’s stolen courage. He thought you were funny and took a part of you and then unfollowed you?” asked user Alexis.
Another user wrote: “Another case of a man stealing a woman’s personality to attract other women :(.”
Others wondered who the unnamed NFL star was.
“I really want to know who this is because I’m curious, but too lazy to find it on my own,” user May.baybee wrote.
“Who was he??????” User Corey asked.
Many users assumed the woman was talking about football star Josh Dobbs, but this has not been confirmed.
Other ladies also noted in the comments that this seems to be a common experience for many women online.
“I thought you were going to say you were talking to his assistant or brother who runs his page,” the Press and Peonies user wrote. “Not like it happened to me before.”
Another user added: “This happens to a lot of us 💔.”
