The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition at the time of writing.

A perimeter has been set up around the crash site while investigators and technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit are on site to determine the cause of the crash.
SPVQ also notes that no theory is currently rejected.
The road is closed to traffic on Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel in both directions between Boulevard Central and Rue Ampere. As the Hydro-Québec pole posed a risk of falling, load shedding in the sector was deemed necessary.
