The video streaming service said Wednesday that it brought in an additional 8.8 million customers in the third quarter, bringing its total number of subscribers to 247.2 million. Netflix added more than 16 million subscribers during the first nine months of the year, surpassing the 8.9 million subscribers it added in all of 2022. But that’s just a fraction of the more than 36 million additional subscribers Netflix brought in in 2020 when the pandemic turned into a money-making period for the service at a time when people were looking for things to do while at home.
