David Archuleta He says dozens of fans walked out on a recent show of him after he spoke about being weird… a moment he thinks goes home to how important it is to continue telling his story.
Archuleta arrived in Los Angeles on Thursday, just hours after he stopped off on his Christmas tour in Utah, where he says fans bailed during a performance break as he talked about his upcoming final trip.
In fact, he even shared an email from what appeared to be the manager of the place where he performed… expressing their disappointment with his decision to talk about his sexuality.
Part of the email read, “I don’t think the concert was the setting for that. We’ve got some pretty unhappy sponsors that I’m going to be dealing with today. And I hope for the remaining gigs, that won’t be allowed and just let them have a great Christmas experience.”
David said he could sense the nervousness in the crowd when sharing his story, and he was disappointed to see some fans leave, but that won’t stop him from doing so. Share his experienceBecause he knows the message can help save lives.
Archuleta – who finished second behind him David Cook In Season 7 of “American Idol” – He was raised in a strict Mormon household, and says he had to keep his sexuality a secret. At one point, David says he contemplated suicide.
David tells us he’s given up on his religion to regroup and decide what he wants spiritually, but he still has fans and LGBTQIA+ people urging him to share his story, which they believe can reach new ears and help more people.
