An air fryer brand is recalling more than 300,000 units due to a potential “burn hazard.”

Hundreds of thousands of air fryers have been recalled due to a potential burn risk, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The recall began in December. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said it had issued a 14-day shutdown due to a component defect in two models of the air fryer basket device, noting that the company had received 41 reports of product breakages, including three reports of burns.

“The plastic U-shaped channel connector optionally used to combine the two food baskets inside air fryers can break during use, posing a burn hazard,” the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall notice states.

The recall affects the PowerXL DUAF-10 and DUAF-005 Vortex Dual-Basket Air Fryer models.

“Egg-shaped Air fryers “It contains two baskets that can be used separately or optionally combined into one large basket,” the CPSC notice states. The products were sold in black and cinnamon.

The notice advises consumers to stop using the products immediately and contact the manufacturer for a full refund.

The air fryer was sold nationwide and online at major retailers including Target, Walmart and Kohls from August 2021 through October 2023 for between $60 and $190, according to the recall notice.
