Police have released 911 tapes recorded by Vontae Davis' personal assistant after she found him dead in his Florida home.

The death of the former NFL player this week has shocked the football community as investigators are still searching for answers as to what led to the 35-year-old's sudden death.

Local law enforcement said Davis' personal assistant made the initial 911 call after a woman at the home found Davis unresponsive in the home gym area. WPLG reported.

“I arrived and he was on the property’s property,” the dispatcher told 911 in the call. “I froze. He called me and you didn't even talk, so that's why I called.”

“The last time I saw him was Friday, and I know someone saw him on Saturday — one of the drivers,” she told the dispatcher in another clip of the call.

The dispatcher was able to reach the woman who initially found out over the phone, and parts of that conversation were redacted before being released publicly.

Police ruled that there was no criminal suspicion in Davis' death.

He earned two Pro Bowl nods during his time with the Colts and signed a one-year contract with the Bills in 2018, retiring midgame that September.
