An endogenarian dies face-to-face at Boy-Saint-Paul

An eight-year-old man died after a violent confrontation in Baie-Saint-Paul on Monday evening.

Two vehicles collided on Route 362 in the Cap-aux-Corbeaux sector around 5 p.m.

“According to the first information, this is one of the two vehicles that has left its path, but a reason remains to be determined,” notes Hélène St-Pierre, spokeswoman for the Sûreté du Québec.

Both drivers who were alone in the vehicle were taken to the hospital.

We learned on Tuesday morning that one of them, an eight-year-old adult, died as a result of the tragedy. His identity will be released later today, police said.

The other driver, a man in his 60s, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The SQ did not want to advance the cause and circumstances of Tuesday morning’s tragedy.

A collision investigator was dispatched to the scene and Route 362 was closed for a time.
