Ariana Madix made her Broadway debut Monday night as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago.
The 38-year-old Vanderpump Rules character — who survived a cheating nearly a year ago — appeared on stage in a blonde wig and red lipstick.
She wowed the audience that turned out for her opening performance at the Ambassador Theater in New York City.
Madix was supported by VPR stars Lala Kent and Scheana Shay, as well as her mother Tanya Madix, who sat with her boyfriend Danielle Way, according to the people.
The Florida-born artist received a standing ovation for her role.
Madix's blonde locks were hidden under a blonde wig that was two inches shorter than her natural hair.
It was styled straight, with a part down the middle and was cut right at her chin and jawline.
She looked stunning as she wore a black mini dress over a black sheer top.
The Dancing with the Stars finalist also wore sheer black pantyhose and finished the outfit with metallic silver pumps.
It was announced that the bombshell will appear in the Tony Award-winning show Kander & Ebb in early December.
It can be seen in production for eight weeks, ending on March 24.
“It's just the biggest dream come true,” Ariana said of the opportunity to appear on Live with Kelly and Mark ahead of her debut.
“I can't believe this is real life. I'm going to cry,” she added at the time.
Earlier this month, Ariana told People magazine during a press conference: “To say this is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream would be an understatement.”
“This is literally everything to me,” she explained. This is all I ever wanted. And to be here now, having this inclusive moment… I feel so grateful.
Musical theater is not new to the star as she studied the subject at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.
She later moved to New York City to pursue her dream, bartending along the way.
Madix eventually moved to Los Angeles, where she landed a spot on the Bravo reality series Vanderpump Rules, a spin-off of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Ariana discussed the chain of events that led her to the role of Roxy, saying: “I completely understand what brought me here, but I don’t want this to be what people think about when they leave the theater.”
Madix's Vanderpump Rules co-star, Sheena Shay, posted a photo of Madix backstage, holding a bouquet of flowers, and added in the caption: “@arianamadix absolutely crushing it!!!”
Kristen Doute added: “I love you so much and I'm so proud!” Ariana is Roxy Hart!
James Kennedy's girlfriend Allie Leoper added: “You guys.” shouting. crying. He vomits. It was perfect.
Katie Maloney added: “So proud of you @arianamadix,” along with several emojis.
While Maddix has been drawing people to Broadway, executive producer Alex Baskin has opened up about it Los Angeles Times On how the “scandal” affected salary negotiations.
“This is as difficult as ever because typically, we have a rate card, a possession card, that we've used in previous seasons. There are all kinds of questions across the board,” Baskin said.
“Something like a producer credit is off the table because it's not something we can unlock,” he admitted.
“But other than that, I knew it would take some time for the actors’ expectations to settle in,” he said.
“Because a lot of times as well, we make sure they are aware of the state of the industry and the fact that shows are challenged these days,” he said.
“Their point is, really, ‘You guys are promoting the success of the show. Where is our part of that?” “These are difficult conversations,” Baskin admitted Sunday.
“I thought everyone, except Rachel, who had a personal decision to make, wanted to come back. Everyone did better than they had before,” he said.
Rachel Levis, who was involved in an affair with Tom Sandoval, checked herself into a mental institution and later confirmed her exit from the show.
Ariana's life was turned upside down last March when she caught her longtime boyfriend Tom Sandoval having an affair with her best friend and colleague Rachel Levis.
The explosion has brought a lot of attention to the Bravo TV series, which premieres its 11th season on Tuesday, January 30.
The final part would come in the wake of the scandal that later became known as “The Scandal.”
After the betrayal, Madix landed a slew of brand partnerships and eventually landed a spot on Dancing with the Stars, where she made it to the finals and placed third.
Broadway was next, catapulting the media to A-list status.
