A 20-year-old man was injured in an assassination attempt in Riviere-des-Prairie on Wednesday afternoon.
At 9:15 p.m., gunfire was heard in the 55th corner of 911e Avenue and 3e Street. The victim, who was found by police when he arrived at the scene, may have been injured by the glass. The man, in his twenties, was taken to hospital and is currently in stable condition, Montreal Police said.
According to witnesses, the men had arrived in a car and one of them had fired in the direction of the victim. The person is said to have taken refuge in an apartment. The suspects then got into a minor accident and fled their car. The men, aged 19, 22 and 23, were arrested. All three are known to police. A perimeter wall has been set up in the area.
“It causes depression”
