Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun Split, Call Off Engagement

Sources close to the now-ex-couple tell us that the two have been trying to make things work lately, “on and off” for the past few months, but it just wasn’t quite right. Not only did they hit the brakes on marriage — we’re told — they were no longer together as a couple, either.

At this time, it’s unclear what led to the split…but we’re told there was no cheating on any side.

The news comes on the heels of Avril’s photos out for dinner with Tyga And a group of friends on a Sunday night at NOBU.

We’re told that Tyga and Avril looked so cozy hanging out, and we shared a hug in the parking lot before they left in the same car. Sources we spoke say the two are good friends, and have been for quite some time, but that’s nothing romantic.

An interesting note, however, is that Mod’s rep tells us, “They were together and engaged 3 days ago when he left on tour, so if anything changes that’s news for him.”

Got Avril and Mod linked Last year in March during a trip to Paris. He recently released a new album called “God Save the Teen” with a few songs dedicated to Avril.
