Barry Williams has set himself apart from Package.
The man who rose to fame as Greg Brady on the beloved 1970s sitcom is now officially out TIMEIDEN Cast member to make it further Dancing with the stars. With his Week 8 rumba to Whitney Houston’s “Didn’t We Almost Have It All?”, Williams edged out his TV sister Maureen McCormick, who reached Week 7 in Season 23 (Brady Mother Florence Henderson returned home in Week 5 of Season 11). Unfortunately, that’s as far as Williams would go in Season 32 as he was shockingly eliminated at the end of the episode.
Williams previously told EW that although his goal was to win Season 32 of the dance competition, he wanted to at least beat McCormick. “I should do that,” he joked, referring to the famous figure Brady episode. “You lost that egg in the cone driving contest and you never let me live.”
“This experience is what life has always been like with the Brady family, and this is like family,” the actor added. “This is what we do for our sisters, brothers and family – and it’s a lot of fun.”
Dancing with partner Peta Murgatroyd, Williams strives to show improvement each week. On Whitney Houston’s night, the duo received a lot of praise for their improvement. Carrie Ann Inaba declared it “their best dance ever”, while Bruno Tonioli described it as “perfect”, noting the importance of performing a flawless dance. Guest judge Billy Porter even challenged Williams to try harder going forward, saying: “It’s too easy for you.”
The pair received eight points across the board from all the judges, which comes out to a score of 32 out of 40. This represents their highest score from the four judges behind the table. They went on to win their dance against Jason Mraz and Daniela Karajac to score three more points, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to save them for another week.
Dancing with the stars It airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
