Bebe Rexha She says she was discriminated against at a German airport…and told fans she wasn’t allowed through security in what she called a “hate crime.”
The singer-songwriter shared videos of herself crying at Munich International Airport in Germany… claiming her Lufthansa flight attendant threatened her and prevented her from boarding her flight between her shaky breaths.
PR says she spoke in Albanian to a security guard at the airport because she thought he was speaking to her in Albanian… a move she says led to a tense confrontation with airport staff.
Rexha says she is certain she was subjected to a hate crime because she is Albanian…and adds that the alleged discrimination did not end there.
Bibi says the security personnel continued to “mentally humiliate” her and abuse their power — without anyone intervening to say anything to her. She says she tried to get his name to report him, but he refused to tell her.
By the way… Bibi learned Albanian at an early age because her father was born in North Macedonia – a country where people speak both Macedonian and Albanian – and her mother has Albanian roots as well.
A Lufthansa representative tells TMZ… they are in direct contact with Pepe to get the full story. They add that the airline connects people all over the world… and that diversity and equal opportunity are core values of their company.
We were told that Lufthansa does not tolerate any kind of discriminatory behaviour and will investigate thoroughly.
