A dispute between neighbors took a turn for the worse in Puse on Thursday evening. A suspect was arrested by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) for discharging a firearm.
Around 7pm, police were called to intervene after shots were fired on Route Saint-Thérèse in Sainte-Hénédine.
On arrival, the SQ learned that an argument had broken out between two persons. However, no one was injured during the incidents.
Patrol officers arrested a 30-year-old man on charges of possession of a prohibited weapon. A second person involved in the events was not handcuffed.
Investigators from the provincial police force went to the scene along with a forensic identification technician to shed light on the situation.
When he appears in court, the gun owner will face charges of possession of a prohibited firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.
